I got an insane amount of feathers really fast. I got 86. Only had 26 bombs

 

If i had brought more and used them the entire fight, i would probably get even more.

Is malbatross a feather pinata?

Each time you hit malbatross it has a chance to drop a feather, damage doesnt matter. Characters like Wolfgang suck against malbatross since you get less feathers.

any use of bulk feathers?

I know the feather frock cursed item in uncompromising mod would use bulk feathers really well, but what about base game?

Every time you hit the Malbatross there's a small chance she'll drop a few feathers, meaning that lower damage attacks will result in this chance being rolled more throughout the fight. At 5000 health, it takes 74 hits to kill the Malbatross with a dark sword, meaning only 74 rolls at those feathers, while a swarm of mosquitoes doing 3 damage each will roll the chance 1667 times throughout the fight.

Being able to guarinteed get 2 sails, or sails for the whole server or easy replacements. I wish there was more uses.

My gourd is being pogged.

Going to fiddle with this! I am skeptical of the mosquitos considering their very minimal damage output, what other entities could this synergize with? Huge fan of Death by 1000 cuts playstyles.

Thanks for the tech, I will definitely use it.

When I switch to Wurt I will bulk farm those in my uncomp megaworld.

All feather types will temporarily give the player a speed boost of 50%

Jet Feather will deal 30 damage and slow close targets by 30% for a few seconds.

Azure Feather deals 80 damage to enemies around the player

Malbatross Feather will deal the same damage as an Azure Feather, but also provides a 250% speed boost for a few seconds.

 

Been using black feathers so far, due to availability, but malb feathers are way better. This info shoots malbatross boss to a top tier boss now in the mod.
