Is pip arbor acorn rummaging broken?

This used to produce an acorn every two cycles. So far nothing


Out of 35 branches spawning with this more conventional setup also nothing

After letting the branches fully grow and harvest there was a acorn. Could be chance or could be an undocumented change.

Did you harvest yourself or did a pip do it? if the former then it could be a compatibility change in order to allow arbor trees to mutate

The pip rummaged the seed. The dupes only harvested the branches.

Having the same problem here. That the setup with branches constantly drowning will NOT yield any Acorns. I was able to generate some Acorns by temporarily introducing pips into my Arbor Tree farm; it makes me believe that some change happened that only fully grown branches will roll for the Acorn chance. This would also match with my regular pip ranch not producing any Acorns as the pips are resetting the growth state of the branches.

I suspect the same but I can't remember reading anything about it in the changelog.

Does it persisted after new update? Devs fixed plant not dropping seeds, that may affect acorns too...
