How do I get the nectar out of the trees?

Recommended Posts

Bonbon gourds produce Nectar from light and snow, which can be used in the polymer press in order to produce small amounts of plastic. But... How do I... .get at it? From what I'm understanding, the branches only drop wood, and when I attempt to auto-harvest on the trunk itself... no errand seems to be created? I'm not sure whats the idea.

I'm seeing a liquid output on them, so that might be a possibility

Yeah so, if you use a pipe it will actually auto harvest the nectar and it will be pipe to where ever you take to. Idk if thats intended  when I tried it the trees kinda bugged out a lil bit but thats maybe just me using debug mode to test LOL. So yeah piping them saves dupe labor to harvest the nectar pretty nice tbh, so if its just nectar you want from the Gourd can be fully automated without dupe labor only issue is the requirement for high lux of light for fast production.

Edit: Also even when the branches wither due to higher temps as long as the base of the plant is at livable temperature it will still produce nectar.

So once all(or some) the branches have grown fully, thats when Nectar Production starts, so do not harvest the branches. The thin tree will start to get larger and larger like its Plant Icon in the database. How fast it produces Nectar is based on the Lux Light which max production is 10,000 lux on each branch. If all branches are at max production 1 Gourd can harvest nectar just about 3 times every cycle(could be off on that).
