NotGabriel Posted June 18, 2024 Share Posted June 18, 2024 To me the best skill trees are ones that have multiple appealing final skills, something that makes you have to sit and think about your build. Currently Wurt has only one branch that’s a must have and the rest are second to that. I thought of a few ideas that could make the mosquito and amphibious branches more appealing • Condense the filler skills into one and add new effects. The mosquito crafts, wetness sanity gain, wetness armor, and wetness healing skills are all not worth using at all until their upgrades are purchased, to which they just become okay. The various merm village structures get a pass from me because they’re still atleast decorative. The other buff suggestions I have could slot into these new spots that would be opened by removing filler. • Make Mosquitos from the skeeter bomb Merm aligned in some way, either by default, with lil itchy, or maybe even due to Merm king?? Currently using skeeter bombs after your Merm army is established is questionable at best as the mosquitos can aggro onto your Merms and cause infighting. • Make Wetness more persistent on Wurt with amphibious skills. This could be in the form of having wetness drain slower, keeping heat from drying you faster, or having a more convenient way to raise wetness (the recent buff to lil itchy does accomplish this by making water balloons really easy to get, but Klei if you’re reading this let console players get in on the fun by letting us target ourselves with them) • I think it would be cool to have a more combat focused perk to the amphibious tree. Tankiness is nice but not something she really struggled with, being arguably the tankiest character in the game between the health pool and ease of access to Marble Suits. Instead, I think it would be interesting if you could enhance the lethality of the strident trident by staying above a wetness threshold.
