Tarnishedmax Posted June 9, 2024 Share Posted June 9, 2024 My current issues with the Wurt skill tree is how half baked the unique features feel and i really think there is potential here to make her more casual play style friendly character and not dependent on tons and tons of resources to be unique. First of all the mosquitoes are not that bad of a concept, their main issue is that NOBODY is going out of their way to farm those things and if that wasn’t enough they stop existing on winter, my idea for this is to just let her be able to create artificial ponds that passively generates mosquitos, this alongside making you able to just grab them with the plushie item rather than having to be caught with a net would make mosquitoes a lot more accessible and the items realistically usable without having to go out of your way to get them, this pond also works as a little help for farming as Wurt since now she will be able to have water on demand wherever she wants. this little pond could double as an instant wetness source, just make her roll around the pond to get her wetness up as little extra feature, on the topic of wetness i really enjoy the concept but i feel the way you acquire wetness is extremely clunky and the fact that you constantly lose it too makes it not feel that good at all, if she had a passive wetness generation (even if it was small) it would mean you could mantain 100 wetness as long as you dont get hit, making her have a shield and passive regen constantly!! if this is too “broken” i would suggest replacing her health regen for something else like movement speed when wet or something like that, its a very unique mechanic and it also makes a lot of sense for the merm to be constantly wet. I feel like the bone armor thing provided by the thulecite crown upgrade for the merm king is extremely unnecessary for Wurt as the wetness armor already works as a way of making her more tanky, my idea is to replace what that skill does with the ability to mark enemies when hitting them in order to incentivize Wurt into participating in the fight and playing more into her “leader” role (it also makes sense being the thulecite crown upgrade since its a crown and it means leadership), this mark could increase the merm damage and force them to focus on whatever you are hitting rather than fighting against whatever crosses their way, this would make her a lot more casual play friendly and would make it so she can to use less merms in fights and not miss out on effectiveness, her wetness armor and regen and already incentives you to fight as Wurt so why not just make her also a warrior alongside her trusty merms? At the moment she only really feels like a differently flavored webber, as in minion spam and just spectating the fight, this would make her very unique to play as, like a tank mixed with a summoner, and she wouldn’t NEED to have 30 merm houses to do anything, BUT also not removing her “old” play style of just making a massive merm army and seeing everything melt.
