Improvement for Scorching Sunfish and Ice Bream.

Recommended Posts

Dear developers, we are in a dedicated ocean update (QOL).

I think this is the opportunity to ask to increase the life span of these two special fish to 16 minutes.

Another alternative would be to create a special recipe to recover their health, but that would require a rarer ingredient in the game to balance it.

It's an even greater incentive for fishing in the ocean and in the worst seasons (summer/winter) by having a really viable alternative to thermal stone.

They are already really powerful. They are perfect the way they are.

For non-Wurts they are perfectly niche. Use them on your boat as thermal replacers, or use an insulated pack to double their life span. 2 days is plenty of time, and 1 can still be enough in some scenarios (remember Winter also makes them last 25% longer, though Summer does the opposite). If thats not your cup of tea, then they are not for you.

And for Wurts, enjoy the 4x slower spoilage.

Dude, go to hell with that argument.

I'm not saying anything that will break the game (which is already broken).

There are infinite chests and the guy wants exclusivity for Wurt?

We have the QOL of things that can improve in the ocean and I have to read this.

Problem is you just want a nice clean thermal stone upgrade. Its ok wurt having this niche boost.

However instead of this QoL maybe clothing items should be boosted instead of everyone relying on a thermal stone or a thermal stone alternative.

They are already good with the insulated pack, and you can make little checkpoints in the world with them which can encourage getting more. Its the niche, but still rather effective strategies that can be really fun, like using slurtle slime as fuel for unspoilable lantern fuel.

Also, doubling their spoilage would make sunfish last 12 days in Winter for Wurt, which is overkill for her.

I use the thermal stone on the first few days of the game. Fishing for winter and summer fish requires much more than that. Don't simplify things that much.

I don't think this will ever happen, as this request has been made for some time.

Scorchfish and ice bream combined with clothing items is very strong atm.

Just bundle the fish back up after heating up/cooling down and the clothing item will keep you goin longer. That way seasonal fish last a very very long time.

You can actually do the same thing with thermal stones. They keep their heat in the bundle. Though fish are overall better for that.

Which is exactly why we should prioritize pestering klei to boost clothing items over niche seasonal fish. Or boosting body slot items in general to compete better with backpack.
