Crafting issue

I'm currently in a game where I'm unable to craft the Prestihatitator. I have 4 rabbits in my inventory but the crafting menu/requirement only recognizes 2. This bug occurs when crafting other items, but I'm able to get around it sometimes by moving items in and out of inventory or sometimes taking a whole stack in my cursor and using it to press the Prototype button.

I only use a few mods, but could that be the issue? Is there a fix? Has this happened to you?

I have no idea that is so weird. Try disable all mods and see if it works.

this can happen with prestihatitator specifically because when you craft the top hat it gets sent straight to your head if theres no other space available, and you cant craft using an equipped item as an ingredient. The solution to this is just taking said hat off of your head.

if the actual issue is something else i have no idea ive never even heard of this happen until now (disabling mods is always a good start when you experience weird obscure bugs).

I'll try the mod disable. What's weird is some games it works fine. This game so far has this problem with a lot of crafting

I'm not able to reproduce the issue.
Could you try disabling all your mods - including client-side mods - and reproduce the bug?

An inventory, container, or equip slot mod may be inadvertently excluding items from something like a backpack for crafting. It helps to read the first few comments on mod pages before using them as there are a fair number of dead ones with these kinds of problems.
