Maybe a socketed yellow gem could attach a light to your boat and decrease boat friction in the water. Like the opposite of what the anchor does. I'm thinking it could work like a magiluminescence for your boat. Let's say we go ahead with this idea. Can the path be stopped by manual controls? Does the path have a limit set of distance to be set on? Can it be in only a straight line or multiple bends along the way? Like, I sure am all in to make sailing not such a boring chore. But also have enough interactions to MAKE sailing not being a bore in the first place. It's why I like the Shipwrecked boats, despite people keep saying they're just "water shoes." You have good controls of it, and can stop at anytime. Meanwhile for DST boats, you gotta lower the sail and drop the anchor to even stop. Which can be troublesome when you suddenly face enemies in the ocean (even as rare as they were - I hate rockjaws). I like them, despite them being "water shoes". You can have multiple types of boats, sails, additions for different types of purposes, not just slapping a round wooden plank into the water and call it a day. And OF COURSE AT LEAST SOME OF THEM DO SHAPE LIKE A BOAT. So why not make another boat type that's akin to the SW boats? More control of your boat, but at the loss of your space to put items. Fair trade, eh? Or was that too "OP/powercreep" for you hur dur Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/156355-concept-of-strident-gem-abilities/page/2/#findComment-1718055 Share on other sites
