molivious
So currently, we have three sets of poison gear: Gloop/Swarmy set, the Snortoise Set, and the Wollusk Set - Feedback - The Wollusk Set is not too bad—you only lose about 25 health from each pool it creates in exchange for 30% damage reduction. While the damage reduction is quite decent, this set could still negatively affect your allies and uses up all your armor slots to take effect. (Edit: I am aware that there's a specific set out there that can provide infinite healing in coop but that doesn't change the general limitations of poison gear.) The Snortoise Set is probably the most useful out of the bunch. The player can choose between using the Helmet or the Legs to pad out the environmental risks of Molded Grave, while the Body Armor is great with Power Class, Strikers, and even other items like Bulbin Buddy. The Gloop Set is the worst of the bunch; Essentially, they share the same downsides as the Wollusk set and you get bonuses that you don't truly need or synergizes well with other things. There are more efficient options that require less setup (like the Iriss Legs) and the little Poison Pools don't work on poison immune enemies, which is about half of Molded Grave. Not to mention, the Gloop's armor piece is something Wollusk Hauberk already does better. In general, only 1 of these 9 pieces can truly be useful outside Molded Grave—although it may increase to 6 if playing with friends who are willing to specifically run poison sets. With randoms in pubs? Good luck. - Suggestion - One simple change that I think would help get these items used outside Molded Grave more often is to replace one of Gloop's pieces (probably the helmet, Gloop Laurels, as the following suggestion fits other helmets' themes) with a new passive: Increase your damage against poisoned enemies by 10%/20%/30%/.... Without investing all their armor slots, this change allows players to benefit from a single companion's acid pools and opens up a pretty good interaction through Gloop Helmet + Wollusk/Gloop Body. It also does not require you to sit on acid, unlike most of the other poison gears' requirements. Limiting the bonus to poisoned enemies is a balancing factor that means this passive won't be active 100% of the time, making it a parallel option rather than a complete replacement to other good pieces of gear like the Yammo Hat or Floracrane crown/tiara (which is cracked but that's another topic). This type of bonus may also find more use if, say, we could craft new weapons down the road that inflict poison or spread acid pools. - Final Thoughts - I think the entire Gloop set is rather useless at the moment and I can only think of one thing to fix the head piece. P.S. A little nitpicking, can we think of another way to call Nocturne Grove/Molded Grave? It's so easy to typo Grove/Grave and confuse people about which one you're referring to.
