loonreaper
On 3/14/2024 at 4:58 PM, Ameslarii said: You could increase the speed of the wormwood Saladmander, since one of its real problems is its super low speed, inferior to common saladmanders, always arriving late in combat and never keeping up with the Wormwood, in a fight against dragonfly they will rarely help it in the larvae phase for they are extremely slow and against Bee Queen it is even worse, because if they follow the honey path they never reach Bee Queen. Salamanders are basically useful on bosses with single hits, being useless with area damage, even with a buff on their lives they die extremely quickly as they have no damage reduction, it is very difficult to handle them due to their low speed, in addition to the problems I said above related to speed. A counter argument saying that you can always summon them is something terrible, considering that it's simply not worth spending 50 hp lol Just bumping his up while there are still changes being made. The changes to Wormwood have been *chef's kiss* good, particularly his brambleshade and moon shroom grogginess changes. An extra suggestion I would like to make is to change the targeting of mobs to prioritize salamanders. Salamanders are still very highly specialized in their uses (a couple of bosses with single-target attacks) and they're not very good even when they do keep up. Dragonfly and Crab King are probably really the only times you feel their utility. So what I suggest is for mobs to auto-target them kind of like how Bernie's targeting logic works. The salamanders will still die relatively quickly but at least they've actually done something and re-summoning them still costs HP.
