FYI you CAN make junkyard retrofit on bugged worlds where it will not show (works on console)

Like some people junk yard did NOT retrofit on any of my worlds (xbox) 

An easy fix that has worked for me 2/2 times 

 

Boot the game, and let whatever day you were on pass (ie you're on day 201, wait for day 202)

 

Once day 202  starts rollback to a previous save in game. The game will take longer than usual to load in. (this has only worked for me in the in game menu, not rolling back before loading a world but YMMV) 

 

Now explore your map, and find your junkyard (even if your map is 100% explored, it will NOT show up on the map until you find it) 

 

Also I have tested this but if you save scum it (ie force quit) you are able to repeat this to change the location of your junk yard. 

 

(also FYI it did not spawn in the forest anytime I've tried it but YMMV)

Also, could you please confirm in which areas de junkyard spawned for you?

And the roll back is within the game or main menu after the day pass?

Beefalo desert and the other time was empty desert biome (near ish theater)

You are the best!

I found it on the empty desert, where normally are a bunch of spiders with some gold upon loading new games. At least, that's the best description I can provide.

Also this area is like you said, right next to the desert where the antlion spawns for me.

Unfortunately i wont be able to do this, too many days have passed and i cant rollaback to a previos save that wasn't scrappy scavengers but good for you all!!!

You can always rollback, I was on day 4256 and it worked, what he mean it was just an example of how to force/trigger the retrofit with the new content
