Here's my main problem with DST. I like surviving, bossing, and gathering resources. Only I absolutely hate base building. My bases always look horrible, without planning and everything just thrown in there.

I see a lot of cool base ideas out there, but to spend the time to make them is just such a chore. So here's my dream mod that I'm looking for/proposing:

It's a pre-set base placer. You get a lot of modular pre-set base stuff like a kitchen or a chest hub, etc. You can place the whole huge structure down, it then has all of the buildings greyed out. Then you can slowly put resources into each building to construct them and step by step to get that beautiful base design. No need to stress out over where everything goes, it's all done for you.

An alternative would be to require the materials upfront for each module. I found a mod that already does this, but for sapling and grass farms only:
