I know there's already a post for this, but I lost the timing as I was having a great new year's moment with my family and friends. So I wanted to post this anyways.

I just wanna thank Klei for all the hard work they've been doing lately for DST and all the new free content we're getting for this new arc. So thank you! 

Thanks for still keeping the game alive and running after all these years. Thank you for caring about ALL types of players and their goals. Thanks for listening to the community, your ambassadors and everyone who participated in giving their feedback about the game.

As for 2024, I hope we can have even more skill trees added, specially Maxwell, wendy, wx78 and walter, which are the ones I'm most excited about. But the biggest thing I wanna see for this year are more QoL updates. And to be more specific, here is a list of things that 2023 got me craving for more :

. More pick-up sounds to the game! I know there are some folks who didn't really liked this one, but I was a fan of it. I think adding a "legacy sounds" option in the settings menu could be a great idea too. I'm also hoping for more ambient sounds, specially in the ocean.

. A moon moth critter skin.

. More User Interface visuals like Wormwood's blooming indicator, bone armor cooldown indication, planar weapons *glow* (something similar to how acid rain has an indication on affected items).

. Color changes. A way to change an object color pallet. We already have spores that can change some colors in things and all the combinations of them. So I'm hoping for more things like this. My dream is to have a full Red base. It could also be a skin collor pallet changer, it would need a lot of future designing too, and I think you guys don't want that. But maybe something similar to this could work. My premise is around being able to customize and play with colors a little bit more. (More skins, turfs and light tricks would work too)

. Add scrapbook to the main menu! I really want this feature. The scrapbook is a great way to add lore to the game too, so if there is a possibility, I would love some more lore pages that we could read. Like 8 puzzle pages that can be found in the world that once completed reveal a full story of a character or something in The Constant. Just thinking about that makes me wanna search them for hours.

. More puzzles to the game. I absolutely loved the new cawnival we had for 2023 and hope to see more. I've been thinking about this for so long. I liked the archives puzzle since forever and would love to have new puzzles scattered around the world. Maybe a way for us to display trinkets would be cool, I have a black bishop and rook in my world, but there is no "achievement" for getting those. It would be yet another thing to do in-game.

. (This is not a QoL thing, but I feel like I should mention it regardless) A bigger map setting. I've been making l my worlds "huge" since I like more resources and bigger lands to build. But sometimes, the oasis spawns very deep into the desert or too close to the shore, or the triple moon craters are very far away from the altars. I always have big plans for specific biomes, and I think having an option to choose wich biome I want in my world would be awesome. Also please take in consideration wormholes entrance and exit sometimes being too close to each other, having to resset a world after 30 days of exploring takes a long time.

. Stage "achievement" for completing the story, rather it's a decoration like the stage-hand or a new timeless skin. I would absolutely hype for something like the methew puzzle, but for this new wagstaff and charlie arc.

So, after all of this. I wanna thank everyone here in the forums who participate in commenting and helping us build this game together! I want for some of you to forgive me for being a little to harsh sometimes as the discussions can get very heated sometimes. And I promise I will try to do a better job communicating my ideas with you guys. Love you all so much!

Edit: also, I would really appreciate a change in the thermal measure and the rain detector since they can sometimes be very unreliable to predict rain and weather.
