A Gastronomic Path

Recommended Posts

Don't Starve Together is a game focused on navigating the paths of survival, defeating bosses, and gearing up to grow stronger. The effort to explore recipes beyond meatballs and pierogi is often in vain, but what if, with Warly, this path was that of a culinary boss? What do I mean by that? I mean that Warly is in the Constant, but besides following the traditional path, he can also venture out in search of exotic ingredients, being rewarded for it.

Possibilities on how to follow this path:

  • Let's give Warly more recipes or spices with new fun effects (movement speed, reviving allies, attracting wildlife, repelling hostile creatures...), but make these recipes require underutilized exotic ingredients, such as DurianDurian.webp.1010fd08fcad56e37ac346e33af7ff87.webp, PomegranatesPomegranate.webp.8ca945f4402c82f28c2c7e12503d3402.webp, Moon Moth WingsMoon_Moth_Wings.webp.7bc59fd0b7f143d4a28274749aa9f2ef.webp, LionfishDandy_Lionfish.webp.1a86ade54aa3ac5fb2c40360ef8b2a13.webp, and BarnaclesBarnacle.webp.18554068d4d7add5110ba03f9f049f8d.webp.

  • Introduce new kitchen items that offer benefits but require careful attention. For example, a backpack pot that cooks food as you walk and the pot ingredient backpack, which doesn't store prepared dishes but what is stored lasts much longer.

  • Specialize the chef that each player wants to be. Whether in preparing meats, dairy, sweets, vegetables, fish, or eggs in recipes when prepared by Warly. This aligns with the thematic aspect, where the player can specialize in the type of chef they want to be: Saucier (meat), Pâtissier (sweets), Légumier (vegetables), and Poissonier (fish). But how? Below are just examples, and indeed:

Saucier: Chance to obtain more meat when killing creatures.

Pâtissier: Chance to get more honey when looting beehives or killing the Bee Queen.

Légumier: Extra chance to get vegetables when breaking giant vegetables.

Poissonier: Chance to get additional meat when killing fish.
