That’s how it works for merms, pigs, bunnymen, rock lobsters, and Abi (fairly sure). Bernie however tracks a Willow, but it doesn’t form the leader/follower association. I discovered (and reported) this when I was looking at the code because Wolfgang can’t coach Bernie, because he finds players and then buffs their and his followers. Bernie never is associated as a follower, so he doesn’t get buffs.
