[Merm king reworks] - Now gives 1 gold for freshwater fish. - If someone feeds merm while it is in the process of becoming a king, merms will be neutral to that player specifically. [Wurt craft reworks] - ROG variant of angler merms now craftable (same recipe but with freshwater fish). - Ocean merms craftable - Cave merms craftable. [Merm reworks] - Armor worn by guard merms lasts 50% longer. - ROG anglers only catch 1 fish per day - ROG anglers will automatically give freshwater fish to merm king for 1 gold [ONLY the gold, not the regular loot.] [NEW MERMS?!] - Gatherer merms - Resourceful merms - Paramedic merms - Cave merms - Ocean merms [Gatherer merms] - Will collect any berry bushes, banana bushes ect. in house range and carry the food to Merm king for feeding. - If Merm farm plot available, plants 1 seed and lets it grow, harvests when it begins to rot. STATS: HP: 200 (300 with MK) SPD: 3, 8 running. PATTERN: same as angler merm basically. DROPS: [Berries] x 1 [Freshwater fish] x 1 [Frog legs] x 1 HUT RECIPE: [Planks] x 2 [Berry bush] x 1 [Freshwater fish] x 1 Houses 1 merm. MERM FARM PLOT RECIPE: [Planks] x 2 [Seeds] x 2 [Reeds] x 2 The plot can only house a single seed, grows plants 75% faster and can only be used by gatherer merms. The merm will plant a random seed OR any seed given by Wurt (planted next cycle in that case) and tends to that single plot until it is grown. It will clean up the plant if it rots. One plot needs one gatherer merm. [Resourceful merms] - Resourceful merms will chop wood and mine rocks faster compared to regular merms, they also dig up stumps (1.25x longer than shovel). - They will bring logs and rocks to Wurt in the same fashion as maxwell minions. STATS: HP: 400 (550 with MK) SPD: 4, 12 while running ATK: 10 (15 with MK) PATTERN: same as merms. DROPS: [Freshwater fish] x 1 [Frog leg] x 1 HUT RECIPE: [Planks] x 5 [Axe] x 1 [Pickaxe] x 1 [Freshwater fish] x 1 Houses 1 merm. [Paramedic merm] - Paramedic merms will heal any available merms by throwing Essential mud at them. They cannot fight. STATS: HP: 200 (300 with MK) SPD: 4, 8 while running. HEAL: 450 per mud glob (10 for Wurt, prioritizes her.) HEAL cooldown: 15 seconds. PATTERN: Keeps a distance between merms, runs away from enemies by default. Throws mud globs at targets if their health is below max. DROPS: [Frog legs] x 1 [Spider gland] x 1 HUT RECIPE: [Planks] x 5 [Healing salve] x 2 [Freshwater fish] x 1 [Booster shot] x 1 Each hut houses 1 paramedic. [OCEAN MERMS] - In the ocean you can find 2 waterlogged biomes that have been overrun with merms! The biome has a unique domesticated type of fig grown by the ocean merms inhabiting the biome (Spongefrob, explained in other post). STATS: DMG: 35 (45 with MK) Trident DMG: 50 (55 with MK) HP: 400 (500 with MK) SPD: 4, 6 while running, 10 while swimming. - Each merm has their own trident, which they have carved out of driftwood. The merm will attempt to hit you with a trident that damages your boat if it lands on it. The merm will later attempt to retrieve it, if you are close enough to the merm it will instead fight you bare hands or with a trident in hand, the merm has a shorter range and the same kiting pattern as a regular merm. DROPS: [Spongefrob] x 1 [Driftwood trident] x 1 (if in hand) [Wobster] x 1 The driftwood trident operates like a boomerang for 100 dmg, if used by a survivor. HUT RECIPE: [Driftwood] x 3 [Bullkelp stalk] x 1 [Fig] x 3 [Wobster] x 2 Each hut houses 2 merms. CAVE MERM: - Cave merms live in swamps near the ancient cities. - STATS: HP: 750 (1000 with MK) SPD: 4, 6 while running. DMG: 45 (60 with MK) PATTERN: Does an earthquake similar to bearger but with the range of a merm. After that it rests for 3 seconds and repeat. DROPS: [Fish] x 1 [Thuelicite fragment] x1 40% [Thick scales] x 1-2 HUT RECIPE: [Theulicite fragments] x 1 [Cut stone] x 4 [Thick scales] x 1 [Wooden boards] x 2 Each hut houses 1 cave merm. [Thick scales crafts] - Scaley helm - [Thick scales] x 3 [Reeds] x 3 [Rope] x 2 - The [Scaley helm] protects the wielder for 85% damage, 95% if the damage is dealt by a wet opponent. - The wearer also gets a 20 damage bonus against wet targets, making wet balloons a good choice in battles. - minus 5 sanity/min. - Advanced merm history for 9th graders - [Thick scales] x 3 [Fresh fish] x 1 [Parchment] x 3 - [Advanced merm history for 9th graders] is a book, which has 3 uses and spawns merms (2 Cave merms if in caves, 4 ocean merms if in ocean and 5 guard merms with the king buff if on land). - These merms will fight on your side and expire after 6 minutes. The merms are capable of doing tasks too! (However, you can't feed them for loyalty.) - Wurt gains 75 sanity if read, "Mermfolk have rich history, florp!" - Disgusting fish flakes -(Crockpot) [Thick scales] x 1 [Any fish] x 3 - [Disgusting fish flakes], if thrown into the water, attracts Malbatross! - Armor patch - [Thick scales] x 1 [Stinger] x 3 [Wooden board] x 2 [Armor patch], when used on any non-sewable headpiece, restores 20% durability! [WURT SKILL TREE!] Insight points usable: 14 - Long life - Merm king hunger depletes 25% slower Long life branching paths: Path 1: - Boosted merms (BM) - merms have +15 more attack and +50 more hp, but only when the king is active. If the king is dead then merms get -15 damage and -50 max health instead. - (BM) Smarter merms - Merms now break objects individually (rocks, trees, ect.) - (BM) When in doubt, violence! - Wurt can now give guard merms weapons for extra damage (weapon gives 50% less damage, guard merms already have high attack) - (BM) Merm commander - Wurt can now make merms stand in a square formation when they are idle. Path 2: - Crafty merms (CM) - Gatherer merms and Merm farm plots now craftable! - (CM) Lumber and rocks - Resourceful merms now craftable! - (CM) MEEEDIC! - Paramedic merms now craftable! 3rd path: - King's bounty (KB) - Global grow speed boosted by 25% when merm king is alive. - (KB) King's blessing - All survivors get a minor stat boost while king is alive (+10 damage, +25 hunger, +25 health and +25 sanity. Maybe only a 5 damage bonus for the AOE weapons) - (KB) Promotion - Wurt now gets +20 attack when the king is alive. (+5 if AOE damage) - (KB) Peace treaty - Merms now tameable by anyone if MK is alive. Only works if Wurt is in the server. Post FW: - Night fish - Merms do extra damage against shadow aligned enemies. They can also see shadow creatures now. - Shapes in the deep - All merms become shadow merms when reaching below 50% health. Boosted attack and speed. Post CC: - Lunar fish - Merms do extra damage to lunar aligned enemies! - Death don't us part - Merms now revive during a full moon similarly to a horror hound, dies when the sun rises. MY THOUGHTS: The idea is to make Wurt's gameplay feel more like she's actually improving merm society. Right now she only really has 1 type of merm to play with, so i think giving her more variety like Webber would help. I might make a future update to this if i come up with better concepts for the current merms. While these ideas are in no way 100% balanced, they are just ideas i conjured up for fun since i am an insane Wurt main. Would she boost merms in a minor way if they are in her radius? An alternative i can think of is that wurt can charge merms in her area with shadow/lunar magic. I do like the concept of a wurt mastery path where she becomes a dictator or something. I'd probably make it like this: 3rd path: - Merm ambassador (Replaces Promotion) - Wurt can now craft the [Royal gear], which only she can use. ROYAL GEAR RECIPE: [Strident trident] x 1 [Tentacle spots] x 3 [Backpack] x 1 [Kelp] x 4 The royal gear can be equipped in the backpack slot and has 8 inventory slots. STAT CHANGES!!! [Wurt] Speed + 25% Damage + 30 Hunger drain x 3 [Merms] Speed x 0,75% Damage -25 The purpose of this is to make Wurt be better in fights, while her merms suffer in comparison. Since hunger drain is increased, it isin't wise to wear the backpack constantly. Numbers may require fine tweaking so that other characters don't become inferior by comparison, or the opposite way. Whenever im playing as wurt i feel afraid of going to the ocean because i cant bring my main weapon(merms) with me but ocean merms are a good solution to that. It looks like cavemerms and oceanmerms are different factions from swamp merms. Does that mean mermking cant buff them or are they at first hostile towards wurt? I dont think skills like long life or peace treaty would work well in multiplayer. Would the king just become invincible when you get 4 wurts with long life? I dont realy like the idea of adding more merms that are just made for combat. It would turn wurt into webber 2.0 . I give cavemerms a pass because they would make me want to explore the caves but paramedic merms dont feel right for wurt. I would make them medics you can pay in exchange for healing. It would make merm cities feel more like hamlet which is what i want for a wurt rework. Also what are anglermerms? Do you mean fishermerms from SW? All merms are equal, so they are friendly to wurt. Clever disguises won't work on them. If i had to change it, i'd probably make it.. -Species equality- All merms now tameable by any survivor, with or without disguise, only works if Wurt is in the server. And for -Long life- I think i have a solution for that. Lets assume the king lives for 4 days... If we have one wurt with long life, then the extra lifespan would be.. Cave merms serve as AOE damage, but the numbers could be tweaked so that 1 doesn't render Abigail useles... Maybe an added feature for them would be that they can get extra resources out of mining rocks specifically? (Although they'd do it MUCH slower) I added gatherer merms and resourceful merms as utility, but paramedic merms could have more to them than a mermlet nurse spider... Maybe they'd be able to save merms from death? Every 20 seconds they can revive 1 merm to half health? For wurt it wouldn't work as that's rather busted... Thanks for the concerns!
