Elding Spear is too expensive, Especially charged one.

First let's count: How many volt goat horn you can get before farms? Without reproduction, It's very difficult to get many of them, which means it can't be used as weapon but movement tool at early game, and its base damage is only 59.5, Consider it's low durability and high cost, It can be only used for AoE-required bosses like FW and Bee Queen. Also, unlike Warly's Volt Goat Chaud-Froid, Wigfrid's spear only provides 1.5x damage to wet mobs instead of 2.5x.

Charged spear seems much useful than normal one, But don't forget it's a post-moonstorm item, Unless you are base builder or speedrunner, The spear won't last long with you, because you're about to beat the game. 

If we can get charged spear earlier, Charged by lightning for example, It can be much useful. Since we need volt goat(Also can charge by lightning) to craft it, Being hit by lightning to upgrade it also make sense.

While the charged elding spear’s repairing makes it viable to use against normal enemies, I personally wouldn’t spend volt goat horns to make more of the regular one unless I’m using them against wet enemies because it lacks the repairing and getting more horns is kinda tedious not gonna lie and just isn’t worth the hassle unless I’m using it for its full potential

How come most people believe the elding spear is underpowered?
