Did you know?

Willow's basic flame cast spell, the first one you get that costs one ember, can light fire pits.

Willow's lighter can absorb fire pit fires.

Fire pits, when fully lit, then extinguished, will drop a piece of charcoal.

 

What does all this mean?

It means you can directly convert embers into charcoal, as I show in this video here. But, best of all, the spell is an AoE spell. You can light more than one fire pit.

With this revolutionary tech, Willow can turn one stack of embers into three stacks of charcoal! Compared it to simply burning down a forest, its far more compact, not requiring a tool at all!

It just takes more time!

And needs more clicks

And is locked behind skill points

And costs embers

And is pretty precise with its aiming

And is probably really hard to do with a controller

...

contrary to Maxwell there is no controller support for aiming spells they just drop directly at your feet. This is something I really hope gets worked out before launch

I think a flingo would make this process a lot better. You wouldn't need to pick up the charcoal in between castings. Still probably better to burn down a forest.

Yah, this is more of a novelty than a feasible source of charcoal, but its still something I thought was worthy of being pointed out.

It actually works better than i thought. You can get about 120 charcoal in 2 minutes with a stack of embers.

oh wow, that seems actually viable. Get a basic spider farm and you can get charcoal by the chest full!
