Uncrushed
Most versatile mob! Source of renewable meat. Bring a caged-bird and monster meat, and you've got bacon 'n eggs! Nutritious and slow to spoil. Perfect for exploring the caves. I base near a natural light source just so I know when to go check on my moleworms! Burrows are a source of renewable rock, flint, nitre, and gold (BYO shovel). Super-useful on Hermit Island! Friendly. Relocatable (hammer-whack-a-mole or dig the burrow in daytime). Rain Hat (for when you don't get Deerclops Eyeball) Moggles (!) Night-vision circuit. I love this thing. I'm sure there are better circuits, but this one makes me so lazy. It lets me forget about lighting, the dark, and even sanity most of the time! The Caves give you a free moleworm with most (every?) cave-in! I used to resent them when they grab minerals you want, but then I learned that you can retrieve the items by digging up the burrow! I made Guacamole only once or twice. I know I did because I cooked every recipe at one point. It's fun for the wordplay, and because it's a meat dish. I've seen people use the burrows for compressed long-term storage - they wall off a moleworm burrow and feed it turf because it can store up to 1,000 in one burrow! They don't eat moon glass? That's weird. Anyway, the more I learn about these guys, the more useful they become! Sure, pigs turn 4 monster meat into pigskin and 2 regular meat. Pigskin is one of the most useful items in the game. I could sing their praises, but everybody knows about pigs already. I guess the moleworm is just underappreciated. I wanted to make an "Escape from Hermit Island" scenario and moleworms made it possible! You really put a lot of thought into these guys. And Pearl's Island, and the world in general. Thanks for a fun game! Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/152449-thank-you-for-moleworms/ Share on other sites
puncrafter
As someone who spends a lot of time in the caves, moleworms are an amazing food source! I'm glad to see someone else appreciating the art of moleworm husbandry Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/152449-thank-you-for-moleworms/#findComment-1681459 Share on other sites
