What all foods count toward Carnivore?

Recommended Posts

I've been looking everywhere, and I can't seem to find a proper list of all the foods that count towards the Carnivore achievement. Or even any kind of notes in the articles for individual foods on the wiki. Obviously Meat and Barbecue, and my own current attempt has already shown me that Pacu Fillets and Cooked Seafood work too (thank goodness). By that, I would guess that raw shellfish would work as well, but I can't find confirmation. Same thing for Surf'n Turf, which is something that I could see easily being reached in time to be relevant on a map with, say, a readily available natural gas geyser or geode. Or Frost Burgers, do they count if you manage to scrape together the right stuff for a few of them from wild plants or something? If so, do they count for their full calorie value, or does the game only count some of it since they're only partly made from Barbecue?

I've found a few mentions of Raw Egg and Omelett not counting, so that's something at least. But well... you know.

Less importantly, while there aren't any others that I would think would count, I've seen devs put in weird edge cases for things like these too. If they made Plant Meat work in SO for some reason or something, I would at least find it interesting even if it wasn't really as useful as the more relevant things.

If there's anybody who has the knowledge (or wants to methodically test and get it), and who is willing to share with the rest of us, I would be thankful. And I'm sure others would as well.

So, not Raw Shellfish? Given your lack of elaboration, I want to make sure.

Correct. (allthough that might be an oversight/bug)

I took the list from the achievments code, shellfish is not listed there

Thanks for clarifying! I feel that info should probably be added to the wiki somewhere, but I really don't know enough about that kind of thing to do it myself. Well, people should be able to find this thread if they Google the question now, so at least the info is somewhere accessible. Thank you very much.
