New Brightshades gestalts spawning mechanic

So during the beta klei introduced a mechanic that would lower the amount of gestalts spewed out by the lunar rift after one of the three new bosses have been defeated. Could someone post here the exact details of how that works cause I am curious. Thanks in advance. 

When a portal reaches level 3 (which is 8-10 days after it appears, 4-5 for each level):

  • 4-6 waves of brightshades are queued to spawn.
  • When all brightshades have been spawned, the rift closes and the timer for the next rift to spawn (5 days) starts

When a boss mutates, one wave is removed from the queue. So for example if your rift has 2 waves left to spawn and you kill a Varg and a Bearger, it will remove the 2 waves from the queue, closing the rift.
