Craftable Turfs for (maybe) future quality of life update ?

How else do you translate “We expect this to be the last major update for the original Don't Starve and we don't expect any further update announcements in the near future.”

that’s a pretty clear statement that they are finished with DS.

I don't personally expect anything more, but, they said this exact sentiment right after Hamlet came out, and we still got a major update later. Plus, internally, Shipwrecked was supposed to be the last thing ever made for Don't Starve even if they didn't say it publicly until years later, and we still got Hamlet after that.

Don't Starve is a game that's managed climb out of every grave it's willingly buried itself in so far. It's pretty much impossible to judge if there'll be more or not.

DS was buried in the grave at Klei's request.

We still don't know why Klei don't want to work on DS and we still don't know why they keep working on DST and how long they will continue.

The longer DST exists, the more DS looks like a raw, bugged, ugly DST beta... But for solo balance...

Yeah, it's pretty clear that this is a case of just leaving the door open for some update in the distant future should it like sort of come together and fall into their laps, but just because they leave the door open doesn't mean they have any plans now or later to actually walk through it
