Sacco
We all know that thulecite suit is not a great armor afterall. Yes it has a 90% damage reduction and a small sanity regen, but there are armors like the dreadstone suit and thulecite crown that are way better due to the fact they have an interesting ability that the thulecite suit does not have. So i was thinking to give the player the ability to socket various gems (blue, red, purple, orange, yellow and green) to gain different perks. Blue: immunity to freezing attacks (just the freezing, not damage), like the crab king one or the deerclops' attack. Red: health regen after getting hit. A small health regen of like 5 hp every 10 seconds for 30 seconds after you get hit. Purple: stun immunity. I've always seen the purple gems as the mighty ones, so why not. Orange: small chance like 1/12 of teleporting between 1-2 tiles from the attacker After getting hit WITHOUT taking any damage. I think this could fit in the orange gem's style. Yellow: every time you hit an enemy you get a 1.5% speed boost capped at a maximum of +30% (20 hits to gain the max speed) This speed boost would last for one minute or until you get hit and it would reset to 0% (if you unequip the armor or it breaks the effect goes out with it) Green: every time you hit something your armor auto-repairs. Like every 34 damage your armor gets repaired by 1 point (with a dark sword It would be a 0.31% gained per second) This auto-repairs mechanics is not applied if you are hitting a wall/Chester/Hutch/punching bag. Green gems are about repairing (and also destroying) and this would perfectly fit with their style. I would not like to see the iridescent gem to be socket due to the fact that it would be pretty OP (8 gems in one you know) You also couldn't unsocket gems from the suit, to not make an infinite armor farm durability with the green one. Jakepeng99
I thought this said " Wes " instead of we I think it could be cool to socket gems into the strident for different casts. The green gem coukd make sea stacks. I also feel like this idea could be applied to a new crab king armour drop too Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/151192-we-should-be-able-to-socket-gems-in-thulecite-suit/#findComment-1667158 Share on other sites
