I'm almost positive that Wurt will never be allowed to swim, but thought of a way her merm side could be touched upon. --- When Wurt eventually gets her skill tree, what if she could learn how to make bodies of water? One idea is that she could make special ponds that do not spawn frogs. Another idea is to let her have a unique water based tileset which acts as a river (I say tileset because the purpose is not to block things from moving across the river, but if the built river was thin enough, you could just jump across it), and if you were connect the ocean to your pond using the built river, it would be a way to replenish ponds with fish faster, as well as allow an occasional ocean fish to spawn in this special pond. Also works as a method to allow a body of water near an inland base. --- What if there was a skill that allowed Wurt to finally learn how to use Wickerbottom's books? I am not super familiar with the lore, so I don't know if there is anything solid that would prevent this from ever happening, but it is an idea. --- I am sure that some of the generic skills on this tree will end up being something like "Merms will stay loyal longer", but what if there was a way for Wurt to become an ambassador of sorts, which opens up a questline Wurt can do to create a peace treaty with the Pig King and the Merm King? Could use the Shadow faction as a means to having a common enemy? --- Thoughts?
