Brightshade Armor needs to be improved

Brightshade Armor has the same durability of 830 as Void Robe and Brightshade Helm. It's special ability is recoiling 10 planar damage to the attacker with no built-in CD, 20 if the attacker is shadow aligned. When compared to Void Robe's ability -- negates all insanity auras, this single-target damage reflection seems weak and useless. For Bosses and planar entities this tiny damage can be hardly noticed, while for hound or bee or spider swarms it cannot help either due to the damage reflected only harms the attacker itself. You might think that against enemies like horned Ink Blight which deals multiple strikes with relatively less damage each this will recoil much damage but no, only 20 damage will be reflected to Rasp with its faceplant attack. The first strike of faceplant is reflected and upcoming 5 strikes of devouring don't. Paying a considerable amount of HP for its recoil damage doesn't worth it.

My suggestion is that this damage reflection varies with damage taken, the more damage a strike deals to the player the more damage is reflected. Or it may apply a DoT damage similar to SW toxins, to make it deal with swarms of mobs more effectively. Damage values of it can be seriously considered, to make it more useful while not overpowering Bramble Husk.

I agree and even if they don't want to buff the reflection damage this armor need to receive another buff because it feels too underwhelming, maybe something related to illuminating a small radius, gaining sanity like thulecite armor or increasing the defense / planar defense.

is the wiki correct in the brightshade armours having more planar defense than the void armours? wiki says all brightshade armours have 10 planar defense + 10% planar defense combined, while void armours only have 10 planar defense

Brightshade armor/helm and void armor/helm all give 10 planar defense each. In addition, each piece gives 10% total damage reduction (both physical and planar) against their respective alignment, going up to 25% if you equip 2 pieces of the same alignment (brightshade gives lunar resist, void gives shadow resist). There is no difference in defense between the two other than which alignment they resist.
