Petal perk replacement? Something growing on wormwood is actually cool idea, a Wormfruit

Recommended Posts

Petals won't do much but rot what's not that hard to especially long term and you're not going to bloom short term very likely.

But idea of wormwood growing something is cool. He could grow a new special fruit.

But what would the fruit do? Share your takes in comments.

My takes:

Restores 75 health 50 sanity and 60 health but rots fast but only when picked. Thanks to that it will serve as sort of emergency food. Worm doesn't suffer from sanity much and doesn't heal from food so finding damaged newbie going insane and offering them the fruit would be magical moment.

The fruit growth would be pretty slow but could be sped up with compost wraps. That would breathe 2nd life since salves might be more comfortable healing and formula is much better at blooming.

Craft the fruit into 4 plant unstressors. Each use takes away 1 stress point from farm plants on tile used. 4 because you know most of the time people make 4 or 8 tile farms. Being able to save only 1/4 of the giants would be a boomer.

Again I want to hear your takes on it.

Also if the hunger was 75 then the regrowth time should be longer than 4 minutes so he could eventually starve.

Wrap boosted growth would be below 4 minutes so he can substitute food completely indirectly through the fruit thanks to the spoil proof compost wraps.  In its defense it's probably easier to amass stonefruits. The ability of sustaining solely off plant nutrients would be fitting for plant person.

Was also thinking that if wormwood is the one to eat it then it will put blooming or blooming aura into overdrive for some time affecting allies but can't think of something that would make sense related to it. I mean wigfrid can heal wounds by singing so at this point anything would make sense if that does.

Really cool idea , its growth can be boosted with wetness too so we have a reason to water our plant boy.

I dont think lowering stress is a good idea though, giant plants are a way to show you took care of your farm almost perfectly and having a workaround for the same result would ruin the wow factor since you can even display them for everyone to see. Dont think klei wants to add something similar either since they made wicker's book unable to grow giant crops , even though they could if klei did not hardcode it.

They made it to decrease yield.  With easier stress it still would take just as long

i really enjoy the petals that it currently gives, they might seem useless if you mostly play lategame worlds but during the early portion of a playthrough they put in a lot of work. Not only that but wormwoods farming branch is nearly useless regardless of how you play so i think those perks deserve an overhaul before touching the ones that at least have a unique niche.

We need those petals in mega bases and wendy players need too.

Flowers regrow after rain, there should be plenty flowers to pick in the bee queen biome, you don't really need this perk if you want to mass produce petals.

What about bases? if you really need that many then you'll be better catching butteflies, planting them then plucking the flower. It's wormood's perk if it's gonna affect affect anyone it better affects either him or most of allies not just wendy.

Those petals are really useful, at first I did not like the perk( like at all), but having a way to get almost every health "item" for Wormwood is perfect, especially if you have your chester to put the petals in while you get more. Chef's kiss for this perk.

In this picture I have a petal farm and I collect them all around my world. And I need more because I am not a solo player, I have friends and with consume a lot. Like me there are others. Can you show a solution to the problem?

I think the 75 hunger, 50 Sainity and 60 health is all that is needed.

I do that every summer.

Why do you need two swap characters for petals ?

Not saying all that should be in, just coming up with idea to show possibilities it could open. People are getting excited over some rot and occupied inventory slot.

And it will not work If you have built everywhere in your surface. In the Long run it will starts to fail.

Then... don't? Leave a place untouched for your petal farm...
