I personally love thinking of quotes for this game. Even if there are already quotes for an object, I like to challenge myself to see if I can one-up them. However, there isn't really a place to share these. Introducing... The Quote Thread. Obviously anything in this thread should have something to do with quotes. As long as it is made clear what a quote is for (with an explanation for the quoted object/item etc.), you can also suggest quotes for modded items, your own ideas, and new triggers. Here are some of the quotes I wrote: -Wendy Luxury Axe: "There's no luxury like contributing to deforestation" -Wendy Endothermic Fire Pit (out): "The frost extinguished, yet my heart remains cold" -Wendy Sisturn (burnt): "Ashes to ashes" -Wendy Broodling: "Such big eyes, yet blind to the injustice" There's also some other ideas I had regarding quotes: -A mood system: Quotes would be different depending on the sanity of survivors. I think this would be useful for revealing a character's dark side. An example of this would be Wendy. Adding this system would turn the mix of generic quotes and depressing ones into a more coherent scale of quotes that corresponds to her mood. For example: Wendy's Campfire quote (upon being built) at high sanity: "A flame to keep the horrors at bay." Wendy's Campfire quote at low sanity: "Flames will only hurt me" Unique quotes could even play after beating a boss, as a character may be overconfident. This system would make the characters appear more human and might be fun for writing even more quotes. -Wildfire quote: Characters should point out wildfires to make them more noticeable. This could even be changed depending on if they saw or smelt it (range). Example: Wendy's Close Wildfire quote: "The blaze was inevitable" Wendy's Distant Wildfire quote: "A scorching scent draws near" I do wonder if I'm the only one who does this...
