[Help] changing Wanda's aging rate and widget hands

I am trying to make a new watch for Wanda that gives her some buffs. As a downside I would like to increase the rate at which she ages. I have tried to change the base_rate and rate in oldager.lua and it seems that the aging is calculated correctly. However the hands on the widget don't speed up too, they start rotating at the default speed and just get reset when the age increases. I know the widget is handled by widgets/wandaagebadge.lua but I have no idea how to change it, so that they turn at the appropriate speed.

ps: I am new to modding, so any help or recommendations would be appreciated!
