Other people say that letting them keep things brings griefers that just collect about anything that can be collected and then perma leave. A better fix would be a timed chest! When you leave a locked chest will remain in place and store your things during N minutes (Can be configured on server side). On joining back it instantly gives the inventory back to the player. If they don't come back again (Or take too much time) Then those griefers basically became a lootbox for anyone that finds their chest! Nice way to make them waste their time.
