Evelo
Since Wilson's Refresh now allows players to convert Hound's Teeth into Bone Shards it is only accessible to Wilson. Players who do not use the Celestial Portal will amass hundreds of teeth over the course of their game. Having a way to dump these teeth into something besides wait for a Lureplant to digest them would be beneficial. In the same way Bone Shards are able to be used as inedible fillers and allow players to make Steamed Twigs out of 4 Bone Shards (amazing logic there but hey it's useful). Having this ability transfer to Hound's Teeth as well will allow players to dispose of the copious amount of Hound's Teeth without the need for Lureplants or Throwing them into the Abyss in the caves using a notorious bug. Another alternative is have players mash up 3 hounds teeth into a Nitre since Wickerbottom's quote for Hound's Teeth mentions it has Sulfur in it. ShadowbirdRH
I think the superior cut of wisdom to take from the evolving situation is that players who don't use the Celestial Portal now have more reason than ever to start. I typically main Wortox, with some Wormwood on the side (hoping Wortox gets added to standard Don't Starve, but if he doesn't, I'm still happy playing Wormwood), but once the update came out, I gave Wilson some time on my solo server, enough to get mineral alchemy 2 and turn a sizable pile of gold into nitre before....... actually I've been playing a lot of Hamlet lately, and haven't gotten back to DST to swap Wilson back out just yet. Anyway, yeah, I do have a HUUUUUUUUUGE pile of hound's teeth just waiting for something to be useful for. Not sure if turning them all into bone shards would be worth the time, but at least I have the option now. Ooh, I didn't notice that last bit. Hound's Teeth into Nitre suits me just fine! Or maybe... it's Slurtle Slime that should be converted/refined into Nitre, since that's most likely the reason for its explosive properties, but allow Hound's Teeth to be eaten by Slurtles/Snurtles and contribute to slurtle slime production.
