mrbutthead86
As I am playing my current session, my teleporter gave me access to a planetoid rather useless. But it had a ton of volcanos. There was no point making a colony there and utilizing these volcanos. That's when I thought it would be nice to exchange energy between planetoids. So there could be colonies focused on creating and distributing energy with a slight penalty in efficiency. Some ideas for implementation: 1) Synthesising a liquid or a gas which could be burned of in a generator. Now I'm aware that you can theoretically do this already with hydrogen. But you need water for that. A more sustainable alternative would be great. Efficiency penalty could be a loss of energy and the fact, that you have to distribute the gas/liquid with rockets or ip launchers. 2) Storing the energy in transportable accumulators, which can be filled/drained in a new building. Somewhat like in dyson sphere program. Efficiency penalty would be transporting those batteries via rocket or ip launcher. 3) Beaming the energy from one planetoid to another. This could be done with a new laser transmitter and receiver building. Efficiency penalty could be loss of energy scaling with the planetoid distance and/or limited transmitting/receiving time per cycle due to the planetoid spin. There also could be rocket module for receiving energy.
