Terra B Welch Posted August 8, 2022 Share Posted August 8, 2022 Note: This is not a suggestion or anything I think needs to be a thing added, this is just a passing thought I had and are just curious what others think of it, for all I care, hostile flares can stay how they currently are. So a passing thought I had related to pirate raids and the hostile flares. What if their odds of spawning raids was based on proximity to the island? Like based off the same mechanic as the natural spawn to a degree, like firing a flare in the outer ring would be a 30% chance, in the middle ring it'd be a 60% chance, and in the inner ring it'd be guarenteed? Honestly I don't really care what happens with the hostile flares, I generally like them as an addition and are fine with how they are currently, but I couldn't help but share a simple passing thought. Evelo Posted August 8, 2022 Share Posted August 8, 2022 I can see that being a really good way to triangulate the location of the Island too. Since you can spawn pirate raids and turn into Wonkey and have no idea where to cure the curse. Have different audio (and visual for those who are deaf, hard of hearing, or play muted) on a successful summon to determine if you were in outer, middle, or inner range of the island.
