Concept: Pneumatic Door with pet flap/slat?

Still fairly new and inexperienced with ONI, as in my base becomes doomed by cycle 200 due to poor builds or material deficits. So I'm always running through other forums where advice differs and I can test and see what works for me and no clear answer on if the stable still works outside of stable in the newest version , still experimenting, but it got me to thinking what if there was a normal pneumatic door with enough space for the critter to crawl through it, so we could close in the stable and utilize the room bonus but able to leave the rest of the floor open as to not have crowded and glum critters and get the most of the material drops. Could that be a possibility for a future update?? It would make farming hatches for coal generators a bit more worth it from what I know and have found as far as advice goes so far in my short time playing. If there's better ways I'm always open for advice.
