Why my settings and maps reset

So, like 3 days Ago i started playing the wx78 beta and since then my settings and mod settings reset and all my maps dissapear everytime i start/restart the game. Can anyone help me?

opting into the beta is basically a different game. its not going to have the same settings as the normal branch

You can copy the folder in my document and overwrite it into another version so that the game Settings won't reset, however, be aware that the save may be overwritten, please be careful, oh, and the mod configuration will need to be reconfigured

There's a folder (%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether on Windows, probably something similar on other systems) which contains all your settings and saves.

When you switch to beta, it uses a different one called "DoNotStarveTogetherBetaBranch", which is empty if you never switched to beta before. That's why you can see all your settings "gone", they will "return" when you switch back to the main branch.

It is possible to copy settings and worlds between these folders, but before you do anything, make sure you make a backup of the whole original "DoNotStarveTogether" folder just to be sure. As lv said before me, it's really easy to accidentally overwrite or delete important files like your epic 10000+ days world, cookbook progress, etc.
