mr. brj
First of all, let me start by saying that I'm really enjoying the new Wolfgang so far. The removal of mightiness loss on hits was a sad change for sure, but an understandable one. Plus, the passive mightiness drain and Wolfgang's access to mightiness feel perfectly balanced right now. Thank you for all the hard work Klei! Now, back to my suggestions. By default, mighty Wolfgang prioritizes throwing dumbbells over all the other right-click actions. Especially during Beefalo taming, this is quite annoying. You constantly have to switch your handslot item to mount/dismount a Beefalo if you want to maintain your mightiness by holding the dumbbell, and more than often, I find myself throwing my dumbbell to my precious beef (luckily it counts as an ally, so it doesn't get hurt). Apart from the huge inconvenience, this also wastes the dumbbell's durability. An easy way to fix this is to show the "throw" option only when the player hovers their mouse over a neutral/aggressive mob. Adding a CTRL (or force attack) bind for "free-throwing" dumbbells also lets the player throw their dumbbell to any desired spot. Unexperienced players can still discover the throw option by hovering their mouses over certain mobs, like butterflies and rabbits. I don't think implementing this will make the throw option hard to discover. My second suggestion is to rebind the workout option on the handslot to CTRL+right-click. Not being able to unequip dumbbells from the handslot is another inconvenience I have been experiencing a lot. A good and frequent example for this is placing a lantern on the floor, working out, trying to unequip the dumbbell by right-clicking so that Wolfgang can pickup the lantern by pressing space (action button), realizing that the handslot is still occupied by the dumbbell, and panic. Anyways, thanks again for all the hard work guys. Waiting so much forward to this "QoL" update to go into the main branch. Much love.
