They are a really nice way to store some less stable resources like liquid Oxygen / Hydrogen without insulation or bursting some pipes. However, they are crucially missing one thing - automation. It would be nice if they could send similar signals to Liquid Reservoirs indicating how full or empty they are. This way I could have a tank only request things when it is not full. This could be used for a storage tank, but also for automatically refuelling rockets without leaving liquid oxygen / hydrogen in pipes. For example, when an Oxidiser Tank would be not full, it would send a signal for a liquid oxygen maker to pump some liquid oxygen until it is full, then automatically stop.
