Hi, I just changed just one face in atlas-1.tex (this is my first time editing art in dont starve tgt) and I used textool creator, I did as I read somewhere -I chose DXT5 , 2D and default. I ticked both of the choices. But my game crashes and the log says ''The engine doesn't currently support 3D textures. Did you mean to use a 2D texture?''

Additional info- I used Paint3D for this, I didn't use the recommended editors but Paint 3D supports transparency too, is it the problem or something else?

I've found you need to select 1D texture when using TEXTool, however using that method is extremely outdated so be careful with it.

Thanks for your reply! I saw that it was updated a long ago but I couldn't find any alternatives, if you know any, can you help me please? Oh and I guess using Paint3D is no problem then...

Look into KTools, info here

They're hard to use if you aren't a "power user" as far as computers go, but they get the job done really well if you get used to them. You can still use TEX Tools if you feel comfortable with them, they are just extremely janky in my experience and like I said before, quite old.

oh, about that... I couldn't get them to work, I am not really experienced and I read somewhere that I should use cmd.exe and I did as I read-it said type krane or ktech and then your file's directory, but cmd.exe said '' 'krane' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.'' So I returned to use textool...

Oh yeah that's a bit of an issue. Like I said they are hard to use, you'll need the files in the same folder you're using them in, as cmd.exe only operates based on a list of programs it knows, and whatever is in the folder you're currently navigated to inside it. It's not very easy to add it to the list it knows, so my suggestion is the just copy and paste ktech or krane to wherever you need it, and then use it.

Thank you for helping! I gave up on creating my own art after trying so hard but achieving nothing good and I decided to use Wigfrid as base, whose idle's are now all three handed as if she's holding something. I am hopeless LMAO
