selipso
60x time-lapse on YouTube As an early access player since earlier this year, I'm very impressed with how the game progressed. I recorded a time-lapse of the first 100 cycles as a walkthrough showing how to build a base differently in the Swamp Asteroid vs. the older asteroids. Based on your suggestions I can continue with more time-lapses like these for other asteroids / seeds Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/136158-time-lapse-of-first-100-cycles-of-spaced-outs-swamp-asteroid/ Share on other sites
ghkbrew
I think it's a neat idea and I love to see how other people play the game, but I'm not sure how effective it'll be as walk-though. The problem is that at 60x with normal camera shifts it's really hard to keep track of what is going on. I can mostly follow along based on the brief flashes of your builds, but I have thousands of hours in this game now and can recognize most of the designs on sight. I'm pretty sure a newer player would be completely lost. My suggestions then are: 1. It'd be really cool if you could do a camera stabilized version of this. I don't know if there are any mods available for that sort of thing. 2. If you want this to be useful to new(er) players, they need to be able to understand what's happening. Slowing it down and stabilizing the camera would help a lot, but I suspect some sort of voice over with explanations would be even more helpful. 3. You forgot to kill all plug slugs on sight... those filthy metal ore eating, hydrogen gas farting abominations.
