MarkBlocos
Hello, I'd like to start by saying im not a godlike player or anything, but i tend to do runs inspired by Glermz where i do BeeQueen as wolfgang before winter. Here are my opinions after playing for a while. GYM Wolfgang gym is cheap and fun! It is a great change to how to get mighty. I loved the different changes and putting two boss statues to train. THe hunger drain during training is neglectable and you can get mighty easly. Dumbell The dumbells are ok. The gem one seems to be the only actually worth it, and needing a gem makes it balanced. I dont see myself using the other ones except the golden for some bird/bunny farming, but i dont mind that. Fighting The mightiness decline rate is balanced. you can do a BQ fight with panflutes and mag normally. If you top your hunger and start at 100 mightiness with hambat, you can kill her pefore going normal. BUT, if you have some bad luck and that happens mid-fight, only the gemdumbell can save you, as the golden will not be fast enough with her chasing you to replenish you mightiness. The constant 2x is very nice and the health is a nerf but i dont mind it. you can do the BQ with one bee hemlet and one marble suit without actually any food. The speed I love almost everything about this rework, but this one doesn't feel right. Not getting into if it makes sense or not with the theme, only gameplay. His speed nerf really makes him feel not worth it. It is easy to get mighty and that would help in bosses but there is no reason for not using wigfrid, for instance. She would do a ruins rush for mag (same as wolfgang needs now), with 5 or 4 panflutes she also can kill BQ, PLUS, shes got damage reduction, lifesteal and sanity regen. No speed buff kills everything unique to wolfgang, even with everything else being actually awesome. My humble suggestion Giving that is easier to get and stay mighty earlygame without having to have a lot of food, i undesrtand the feeling that speedbuff would be sort of too much. I thought about a two-piece gym. one for legs and one for arms. You can have three types of mightines (sort of like beefalo tendency). If you train two times with the leg gym, you would get something around 1,3x speed, and no damage buff; if you train one of each, you get 2x damage and 1,2x speed; and if you train only arm you get around 2,2x damage. Those numbers are just for example, but the middle would have to bee like wolfgang is now and the others would have to surpass the middle values of speed or damage. This way, you can choose what you want for the fight or even doing stuff around the constant. It would add some fun to switching workout even late game (if you're in the ruins, killing FW or moving statues), and add to the refresh concept. I dont believe the speed and damage make him OP. The fights and survival are hard just the same, and new players will struggle with this because of food shortage and atuff like that. And besides, the health nerf already is enough, and i wouldn't change that. Thanks for reading anyone who did and i hope it can be of any help for klei <3 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/136011-opinion-and-suggestion-on-wolf-refresh/ Share on other sites
DaZoul
I don't care about the speed all that much, a slight speed up would be nice. The Mightiness drain scaling on hunger... ehh... I think it'd be better if the drain was always the level of max hunger. Occasionally juggling the dumbbell during long fights is enough, no need to also keep hunger topped off at all times. And the animation of getting weaker is annoying. Getting mighty has some particles as well, and that one can stay as it doesn't interrupt anything really. Can't say the same for the other one Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/136011-opinion-and-suggestion-on-wolf-refresh/#findComment-1521115 Share on other sites
