skittles sour
Everytime I add a new prefab locally to an existing mod (I did remember to add it to the PrefabFiles table in modmain!), I get this error, and I've avoided this error by uploading the mod with the new prefab as an update to the workshop. But this is not very convenient when there are servers running your mod that'll have to restart to download new versions that may or may not work. Does anyone know what exactly is the cause of this error? penguin0616
Adding files locally means the file isn't part of the mod's manifest, so the game won't find it. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/135631-error-loading-file-prefabs/#findComment-1517037 Share on other sites
skittles sour
So do people keep a draft version of their mods on the workshop, just to update their manifest files... penguin0616
I don't think putting draft versions on the workshop is a good idea. You should generally keep release and development versions of your mod separate. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/135631-error-loading-file-prefabs/#findComment-1517049 Share on other sites
