lhutson Posted September 15, 2021 Share Posted September 15, 2021 Right now, there's no reason why I'd ever choose the solid filter over the conveyor shutoff/element sensor combo. They both filter out one specific items, both require three tiles (although you have more flexibility with the shutoff/filter arrangement)...but the filter uses 120w, while the shutoff/filter combo only requires 10w! I think the solid filter ought to have the capability to filter out *categories* of items (critter eggs, metal ore, edible, etc.). It would make the extra power cost worth it in many circumstances, especially when you're looking to filter food from everything else.
