game speed & dupe efficiency

My dupes spend a fair amount of time standing still in between tasks. If I understand various comments I've read here correctly, that's because they're doing pathfinding and similar to figure out what task to perform next, not just waiting for a built-in fixed delay between actions.

Does that means that faster game speed reduces dupe efficiency, relative to in-game cycles? My logic is that if the time to figure out the next task depends only on my cpu speed, then more in-game cycle time passes while that decision is being made if I'm running on Fast rather than Normal.
