Custom Character Structures

So I wish to make a custom structure which applies an aura effect on surrounding characters and is a unique craft for a character (Think sisturn). Thanks to a few guides around the forums I am comfortable I know how to add the aura as well as make a custom recipe for the character, however, looking at the sisturn file has brought to my attention a glaring issue. I simply don't know which parts of the code are needed for the structure to work as a structure, and which parts are about inventory space, changing appearance. aura management etc.

So I was wondering if either anyone would have a blank template structure, something which just has a recipe, is under a tab and can be placed in the world, or would be able to walk me through the steps of editing the sisturn file(or any other structure) into a situation where I only have the base structure-ness and aura effect.
