The swamp biome for the second starting asteroid in the dlc was overhauled to make it feel different from normal gameplay, and I think that was very well done. Take the frozen biome, add a unique critter (perhaps something that can generate materials that the frozen biome would originally lack), add some minerals (or materials to be refined - you could make a building reminiscent of the sludge press), add a few more plants to go with the sleet wheat (think mealwood was changed to bog buckets, muckroot was changed to swamp chards, briar bluff was changed to mellow mallow), maybe add an equivalent of the sublimation station and oxygen diffuser but for some material in the frozen biome, and alter the worldgen to accommodate the new minerals. Now you have the coolest asteroid around. Please do this, it would be heccin awesome :)

After they are done with the core stuff of the dlc (there is still a lot of that to do) i`m sure they will add variants to the starting asteroid. Likely they will do something similar to Rime in the base game. A frozen start with very cold surroundings.

Yeah, I figured. The asteroid variants in the base game felt kinda boring though. Like the one was just the terra asteroid but with volcanoes. The starting swamp overhaul was great because it added a bunch of stuff to it that made it feel different to play than a regular playthrough, and I was just hoping they’d do something else for some other biomes too. Like maybe they could add a building that added a way to get a resource that might be hard to get without going somewhere else, like maybe something that turns salt into oxygen, or a bug that poops algae or wears wheezeworts on its back or something like that, because the frozen biome is missing a critter. Idk just spitballing I guess. Looking back it was pretty stupid to post it because it was just me saying “make rime not boring”.
