Flight mechanics at sea in DST?

Hello and I am pretty new to the forums, modding and the community!

Topic has been changed as I found the information required to do the mod changes I want to do.

Can anyone explain how making something "fly" while over the new oceans in Don't Starve Together?

I keep ending up with a drowned character who always drops his goodies xD.
