Autominers and Doors, What they should mine through and what not.

I've been trying to create a 'realistic' solar panel setup without using any glitches or abusable mechanics because I like to solve problems realistically.

I came unto this while doing the achievement for 0 pollution/240000kJ clean energy achievement. I wanted to get to solar panels quickly and create an automated system that I would, hopefully, rarely have to manage or spend dupe labour on to fix. I set out the panels in 2s, meaning that there's an auto miner box on the left, with miners reaching left and right, then 2 panels, and then another box. The main issue was the miner box to clear the tops of bunker doors.

The box was 6 blocks wide, covered in bunker tiles and sided with 2 bunker doors, the side doors open before the solar panel door so they could clean the tops. They were separated by a timer. However, once the bunker doors opened I saw that the miners don't work through the opened bunker doors. Then came the testing. They don't work through opened manual and mechanised airlock either, but they do work through opened and locked(for some reason) pneumatic doors.

For cooling purposes I had a system to siphon hydrogen in there with a liquid cooling loop when the doors were closed and the pressure was set small to save gas. Pneumatic doors leak gasses a lot in space so it's not an efficient system.

My suggestion would be to allow miners mine through open bunker doors as they aren't a wall anymore, basically the same way the satellite dish scanner works.

I had this problem as well. When making a rocket silo i wanted autominers to clear the regolith from the engine but i needed doors to protect them from the rocket exhust when it`s launching. Then i realised autominers can`t mine thorugh open doors for some reason. I`d like this to change as well.
