Keep the dupe effort, but keep wheezeworts relevant throughout the game: reduce phosphorite usage to 2.4kg/day so that 1 drecko can feed 2-4 wheezeworts indefinitely. Right now it takes 2-4 drecko to feed a wheezewort, which leaves them only relevant early game. 2. Make them slightly less magical, but keep dupe effort in the picture: have them consume ice. This probably needs to be 1g/s to be balanced - anything more and you may as well just melt the ice. This makes them relevant throughout the game, but awkward. And, still newbie friendly.
