Help with Hand Sprites

Hi Guys, I'm new and I'm sorry if this has been asked or answered before (I couldn't find anything related, but if anyone did, direction would be appreciated  )

I'm currently working on my first Mod using the Extended Sample Character Template. I'm making a character who has long sleeves that cover her hands most of the time. So I obviously have to make custom sprites which isn't that difficult to do, but I have a problem with figuring out which hand sprites are used for what animation. I don't know, which way / at which angle the hands are supposed to be and that makes it difficult for me to figure out my own custom sprites accordingly.

So, I was wondering if anyone knew what each hand sprite is actually used for or how they need to be aligned?
