Any tips on what I should do next as far as launching a ship.  and please be specific.

Expanding steel production might be helpful, especially with building the silo.

Building a telescope is a priority, but it looks like you've got a start on that.

Expand power production, you'll need it to operate a telescope and your scanners.

Start steam production. You may be able to just get away with a single batch. Use steel pumps. You can expose a couple of those hot abyssalite tiles near the bottom (the 1500 C ones).

Research destinations, train astronauts, build rocket, visit, build planetarium, research, repeat.

Were you having a specific problem? It looks like you're already working toward astronaut training, which is good. That can take some time.

I tried building a telescope but it overheated and broke.
never tried steam production before.

The telescope is tricky to manage. You need to build doors below it that open when the regolith from above falls so it doesn`t touch the telescope. You also need to clean the regolith accumulating below as on loading a save loose regoilth forms tiles and could touch the telescope from below. Alternatively you could build a solid roof above the telescope. Iirc it should work at ~50% efficiency when 5 tiles to the right and 3 to the left are unobstructed (nothing blocks the sunlight).

There are quite a few ways to produce steam. Best to do it close to the rocket so that pipes don`t break (too much) along the way. One way to do it is to sweep a lot of hot regolith from the surface and dump it to a room where you pump some hot water. Not the most efficient method but easy to set up. Just make sure your air pump is made out of steel.
