Where is all of this natural gas coming from?

Recommended Posts

Okay, so. On my last colonies, natural gas has started to appear inside of my base out of the blue, which is something that didn't happen sometime ago. I always insulate all around my base with tiles and I also use airlocks. I always keep the natural gas geysers completely enclosed, so there is no way the gas from the geysers is somehow managing to get to my base. No matter how much I pump the natural gas to a reservoir, after a couple cycles, the gas starts to form at the bottom of my base again. I mean, it's not a problem at all, it just ANNOYS ME so MUCH, because I like to try to make the perfect colonies on my plays.

So, my question is: has something changed on the last updates that now makes other things generate natural gas too? Because the only possible things that I can think of that are generating natural gas could be poluted dirt, rotting food, fertilizer or things like that? Please note that I don't keep things that generate natural gas such as Fertilizer Synthesizer inside of my base. I tried to search the forum but couldn't find anything about that, so I hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance.

One or more of your dupes have the trait flatulent?

Oh. My god. I never realized that the flatulent trait did that. That is both obvious and hilarious. Well, they certainly are flatulent, because the amount of gas they generate... geez. Anyways, thanks!
